Biomes are very large ecological areas on the earth's surface, with fauna and flora (animals and plants) adapting to their environment. A biome is not an ecosystem, in a way it may look like one but if you take a closer look all animals and plants living in these biomes have adapted over the years to the climate and environment. Their adaptions make it possible for the plants and animals to exist in a certain biome. There are many biomes, all in different parts of the world such as; grasslands, deserts, forests and tundra. There are different forms of each biome; tropical forests, arctic tundras and the savanna are just a few examples.
